Your daily, qualifying, 1 ounce First Class letter mail can be metered at 41.4 cents instead of 44 cents…if it is properly processed and presorted to USPS standards! First Class letter mail, up to 3.5 ounces*, includes invoices, correspondence, etc. in qualifying regular or window envelopes, and letter-size postcards.
Single piece First Class Mail typically is personalized to the recipient. It often includes account information, invoices, correspondence or advertising. First Class mail must be correctly addressed to the company or individual or it will be returned.
Presorted First Class mail is the same in content, but it must meet several additional criteria to qualify for discounted postage – making it easier for the Postal Service to handle it, which saves them time and money that they pass back to you in lower postage rates.
To qualify, companies must mail at least 500 pieces at a time. However, Access Mail’s clients can mail only 100 letters each day and still enjoy all the benefits of presort pricing, because Access Mail is permitted to commingle its clients’ mail – submitting it all as a large, single mailing.
